What Causes Dry Throat And Chronic Cough?

Thank you for taking my question. I sometimes get a very dry throat and then I begin to cough. What really scares me though is my airway seems to get constricted so I need to force air in and I begin to wheeze but this only lasts for maybe a minute. Am I getting worse with my allergies?

Hello
Welcome
I am happy that I could help you. The difficulty you are facing is generally a very common symptom of many lung infection or allergies. It is difficult have a conclusion for specific treatment as i cant auscultate your chest and look at your physical appearance. All the things combine together to form a diagnosis with investigations.
But, I can certainly recommend you some remedies which are very simple and easy to adopt:-
1. Make sure you have proper fluid intake.
2. Steam Inhalation twice a day well help you.
3. Take hot beverages like tea or coffee. If can make a beverage - tea, ginger and honey.
4. You can whenever required you nasal decongestants (available at your local store).
5. Use air purifiers or make sure you have you asthma medications handy( if you are diagnosed of it).
It is a very important for you take care of yourself and stay away from allergens which increases its occurance. I would also like to suggest you schedule an appointment with your local practioner as different tropical zones have different pulmonary condtions. IF EVER YOUR SYMPTOMS GO UNCONTROLLABLE OR YOUR BREATHLESSNESS IS INCREASING PROGESSIVELY KINDLY MAKE SURE YOU VISIT THE EMERGENCY ROOM.
Take Care
