What Causes Dry Skin Under Nipple On Breast?

Hi, for a few days now I noticed that there is a patch of dry skin under my nipple on my breast. It does itch sometimes and seems to be peeling also. I am breastfeeding now for eight months or so and had not had this occur until now. There is no pain during breastfeeding nor when I am not breastfeeding. Is this something i should be concerned about or is it normal? Thank you.

Hello dear,
Welcome to HCm. Dry skin can happens due irritation skin during breastfeeding. I suggest you-
1.Decant some dros of milk and leave on nipple after every breastfeedind.
2.Apply emollient child cream on nipple.
3.Wash breast with soap 2 times a day and do shower massage.
4.Keep dry breast, boil your bra or wash bra with child soap for avoiding contact with chemical substances.
Wishing you and your baby a good health!
