Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your chief complain
dry mouth can be caused due to a number of causes..
In case if you are not on any medication other causes like oral infection like Thrush, any
nerve damage or
injury that supplies the salivary glands, blockage of ducts of salivary glands, autoimmune diseases like Sjogren's syndrome (if you have dry eyes along with dry mouth), any tumors in salivary glands disrupting the normal functioning of the salivary gland, infection in glands etc..
I would suggest you to consult an oral pathologist and get evaluated for the exact cause of the dry mouth and get treated accordingly..
You can use salivary substitutes to lubricate your mouth..
Salivary stimulants like sour candies and sugar free chewing gums can stimulate and increase saliva flow from salivary glands.
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration and ease in dry mouth..
Maintain a good
oral hygiene as dry mouth can lead to extensive
dental caries and oral infections like Thrush..
Treatment of underlying cause can improve the symptoms..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
