What Causes Drastic Weight Loss Along With Increased BPM?
I got married in july and since then i have lost 12 lb s and my pulse has gone up to 100 bpm when sleeping and now i can hear my hart beat in my right ear and i can taste and smell a chemical or medicine almost all the time and i found a whitish powder on my pillow that my wife just rubbed in and said its nothing, could she be poisoning me with a medication that would not hurt her?
It is understandable to be concerned about unintentional weight loss.
Poisoning is a very very rare cause of weight loss, but there are medical conditions that can cause your symptoms eg thyroid disease (one possible cause)
You should consider seeing your doctor for assessment. This would include physical examination and blood tests such as thyroid function tests and complete blood count, ESR.
ESR is a non specific inflammatory marker, this means that it goes up with any inflammation in the body, though it cannot say the specific cause. Inflammation can be due to allergies, infection, trauma, cancer, autoimmune diseases. If high, other tests would be needed.
I hope this helps
