What Causes Dizziness While On Tamsulosin, Finasteride And Losartan?

My husband is taking Tamsulosin 0.4mg, Finasteride 5mg and Losartan/HCTZ 100/12.5 daily at bedtime. He is light headed and dizzy most every day. He has fainted once a week ago. He is 83 years old and in good health other than an enlarged prostrate and mild hypertension. What should he do?

Hello i am Dr.Sadaf and i read your query and i feel that your husband must have his blood pressure checked morning and evening.
It appears that he has his blood pressure dropped and that might need lowering of his blood pressure medicine.
Tamsulosin,Finasteride also might contribute slightly to this dizziness.
Also i would like to know whether this dizziness is associated with a change in posture from sitting to standing because if that is so then that is a condition called postural hypo-tension (blood pressure drop) which occurs in this age group usually and so might still anyway need a reduction in the dose of his blood pressure medicines.

Hope that serves your query.
