What Causes Dizziness While On Amlodipine Besylate?

I started taking Amlodipine Besylate , 5mg, 1/day, on June 14th. I have started having dizzy, light headed spells periodically for the last couple of days. Will this become better after I m on it for a while? I m going in for a follow-up on June 30. Thanks for your answer.

Good day and thank you for posting this question. Yes, the dizziness and light headedness is as a result of the Amlodipine. It might not get better. I will advice you talk to your doctor, your doctor will reduce the dosage to 2.5mg for you and observe.
