What Causes Dizziness While Having Upper Respiratory Infection?

Husband is having strange feelings. He says he is scared. Another time he says anxious. Monday he was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. He took the last dose of antibiotic today. He has answered every question I could think of with no ideas coming from them. He speaks clearly. His attitude is very stressed, grouchy, and irritable. He gets dizzy a bit, not really bad. For the last week, he has been having trouble sleeping and not eating even a 4th of his usual meals, about a 1/3 of what is on his plate.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, all his symptoms (irritable, stressful, dizziness) are due to lack of sleep (insomnia) since 1 week.
So better to consult sleep specialist and get done prescription for clonazepam.
Clonazepam will calm his mood and help in sleep.
Once he gets normal sleep, he will be alright.
Also tell him to avoid stress and tension.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your husband. Thanks.
