What Causes Dizziness When I Get Up?

After sitting for a little while when I get up I frequently get dizzy and a headache and feel pressure behind my eyes. I am 5ft 10in. tall and weigh 210lbs and 53 yrs old. Sometimes I can go for a week without it happening and sometimes it happens multiple times a day. Long car drives and plane rides are big triggers.
