What Causes Dizziness, Spinning Sensation And Slurred Speech?

My mother is having 10 minute periods of weakness, mouth slurring, room spinning and dizziness. It has never happened before today. After the 10 minutes she is able to stand up and walk around. It has happened 3 times today so far. She is saying her head feels heavy also. Her body is so weak she cannot sit up without help. She kind of just dazes at you. She had intestinal surgery 2 months ago and she s afraid it may be from when they put her to sleep. She was on diludin in the hospital for 5 days but did not continue with any pain medication when she returned home. Just very worried and dont know what could be the cause of this.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms could be due to vertigo and common in this age group most probably because of vestibular dysfunction, in my opinion better to see the ENT surgeon, some time it may need CT of brain, hope this information helps, take care.
