What Causes Dizziness, Lightheadedness And Nausea?

Hi doctors I would like to find out what s making my husband sick. He describes symptoms like dizziness, feeling lightheaded. He has this urge to vomit, but struggling to. He mentioned that he is hearing a sound in his one ear and feels like the room is spinning. What could be wrong with him? He is feeling extremely hot and cold, presenting flu like symptoms. However he occassionally has a runny tummy. Last night he ttok anti-histam and asorbic acid to help him with the flu symptoms, but woke up sweating profusely and needing to throw up. Please help! Should I take him to the hospital for check up or give a home remedy to reduce nausea? Kind regards
