What Causes Dizziness During Pregnancy?

Hi there - I'm 29 yo, 25 weeks pregnant and have been having dizzy spells since I woke up today. First two were before I got out of bed. Was lying on my left side and moved my head to look at alarm clock and became very dizzy. Have been getting a few spells at work now too, mostly when I move my head around. I have been eating regularly and drinking lots of fluids. No other pain or issues except the extreme dizziness.

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. From your description, it appears as though your dizziness is related to neck movement. If you happen to doing a desk job, especially working on a computer for long hours, neck strain is the most likely reason. Transient hypotension can occur owing to pressure effects during mid and late trimesters of pregnancy. Anemia, increased blood volume during the mid-trimester are other possible causes. Please inform your health care provider and get necessary help. Wish you safe motherhood.
