What Causes Dizziness And Slurred Speech?
I have been getting dizzy and fallen 8 times in the past 3 or 4 months. I had an MRI and CAT scan of my brain ysterday with negative results. Also I ve been to an ENT doctor and had some tests there. It is not a vestibular problem my physical therapist told me. It is not Vertigo or Menieres. What else can cause dizziness? I went to the hospital the last day and a half due to another severe dizzy spell accompanied by slurring some words during it. It was not a stroke I was told by the neurologist at the hospital. The only thing they found was that I was dehydrated. Is that a possible cause of the dizzy spells?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dizziness and slurred speech . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like middle ear infection , labyrinthitis , anxiety disorder , iron deficiency , diabetes, type 2 , sinusitis and sometimes cardiac problem can also give such signs . Sometimes infection travel from throat to larynx and cause difficulty in speaking.
I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist to rule out ear problem and sinusitis . Doctor will examine ear with otoscope and order CT scan for sinusitis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like genatmicin or amoxicillin , decongestant or expectorant . Apply warm compresses to external neck .
Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist for cardiac problem . For now drink green tea with ginger thrice a day , avoid bending forward and apply dry warm compresses to external ear .
