What Causes Dizziness And Nausea While On Antibiotics For Tooth Abscess?

Hi, I went to the dentist last week as I have a tooth abcess under a crown.My dentist drained the abcess and gave me antibiotics to take if I felt it necessary. My head has felt heavy for some time now and this morning I woke up feeling very dizzy and slightly nauseas ,do you think I should take the antibiotics? regards P.Whale

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The dizziness and nausea could be because of the antibiotics what you are aking for abscess. You have to take a antacid and anti emetics like Tablet rantac 150mg and tab perinorm. The abscessed tooth can be treated with RCT or extraction.

Hello thanks for the consultation at hcm..

The tooth abscess under the crown could be secondary dental caries involving pulp or due to periodontal etiology..

Please get iopa radiograph to check for the extension of the infection..Definitely continue your antibiotics and analgesics along with it take anti nausea and anti gastritis medicines..like pantoprazole 40 mg once daily..

So he will feel less nauseaous on taking those medicines.. and hydrate well by drinking water, juice and soups..

Please review back with your dentist if problem persists,,
