What Causes Dizziness And Nausea During Pregnancy?

36 weeks pregnant and tonight I ve been getting extremely dizzy and I can feel the colour drain from my face, feel off balance and nauseas. I sit down and it takes me a while to feel better. I ve been drinking constantly and I ve been eating normally. The dizziness keeps coming back even though I m sitting down, should I be concerned? I ve had a normal pregnancy thus far.

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have gone through your query.
I think I have understood your concern, I will try to suggest you the best possible treatment options.
!.From your history it seems that you are suffering from postural hypotension --low blood pressure.
2.I will suggest you not stand upright for long time, do not get up fast from lying down. Please keep doing ankle joint exercises, increase water intake, keep eating small frequent feeds.
3.I will also suggest you to check blood pressure, and also blood sugar level (BSL) fasting and 2 hours post meals, also it is good idea to check BSL when you feel giddiness.
I wish you healthy pregnancy outcome, may GOD bless you with Bundle of joy.
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
