This is most likely side effect of atenolol medication. Atenolol is beta blocker medication and it causes reduction of heart rate and reduces cardiac output. This also causes hypotension(Low blood pressure), dizziness and constriction of blood vessels of extremities.
Yes, your all symptoms are related to your blood pressure and because of this medication. You also got ankle swelling and this is also serious side effect of atenolol.
You suppose to stop taking this medication and consult physician as soon as possible and let him know to change medication or reduce the dose of this medication or change the class of this medication.
In addition to taking medication, making lifestyle changes will also help to control your blood pressure. These changes include eating a diet that is low in fat and salt, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising at least 30 minutes most days, not smoking, and not using alcohol.
