What Causes Dizziness And Body Tremor While Suffering From Diabetes?
I have elevated bllod sugar for long time. I have been prescribed glipizide 5mg one in a day. I am taking this off and on. For the last couple of days I feel a kind of tremor. I am not feeling weak but if i walk or if i stand up from sitting i feel like i will fall. Is it because of diabetes or something else?
The tremor you are feeling might be related to oscillations in blood sugar levels. To my opinion, based on what you are prescribing, the tremor is due to drops in blood sugar levels. I advise to : - observe when is the tremor happening: is it after taking glipizide? - measure your blood sugar at the time when you experience the episode to understand what is really happening to you - have your meals regularly, do not skip them to prevent hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level)
Hope it helped! Dr.Albana
