What Causes Dizziness After Cervical Discectomy?

I just had anterior cervical discectomy w a fusion of c5 and c6. Surgery was July 14. My problem now is I am very light headed most of each day. My surgeon said that any normality hopefully resulting from the fusion could take up to 4 monhs. The dizziness happens when i stand up after sitting for a while . Could it have anything to do with my heart or the blood flow ? I have 2 pinched nerves in my lower back.

Hi the dizziness may be due to muscle spasm after surgery. Muscle relaxants to be taken at night may help. Please ask your doctor about this, if it is really bothersome--regards
