What Causes Distinctive Smell From Lower Body While Having Pacemaker Installed?

My 92 year old mother has a distinctive smell coming from her lower body. She has recently had a pacemaker installed for a heart condition (long time heart disease) but I am concerned that this may be symptomatic of a kidney problem. What do you think?

Get her examined by a gynecologist to rule out any genito urinary traact infection.
