What Causes Discomfort In The Mouth?
The right side of the roof of my mouth hurts badly. It only hurts when I put pressure on it and swallow. I am fine when I eat or drink something. Tylenol helps for a few hours but then comes back. It started yesterday night but wasn t that bad and I thought it would be gone by today. But when I awoke it was way worse. Help.

The commonest cause of such a pain on one side only of the hard palate can be due to :
-Herpes.
-severe sinusitis.
-Infection spread from the upper teeth.
Since all are emergency rush to ER or an ENT as timely treatment can help to avoid real emergency and complications.
