What Causes Discomfort In The Chest For A 66-year-old Male?
My husband is having minor discomfort on the left side of his chest. He describes it as a tooth ache. He had a cough a few weeks ago & was checked out for pneumonia. Everything was ok in that area. Should we be concerned? He is 66 yrs old & is in pretty good health....no cholesterol problems, on a low dose of blood pressure med.
Hi You should be concerned but not too concerned. Many thing could cause chest discomfort in a 66 year-old:Poorly controlled BP, some BP medications like ACE inhibitors, chest infections or just simple pain from some unnoticeable impacts or poor lying positions. Most of these causes will have other symptoms. So in his case, i will advise you just observe him.If the symptom persists, see a Doctor for evaluation. Best regards
