What Causes Discomfort In Testicles And Reduced Ejaculation?

Hi..my boyfriend has felt a discomfort in his testicles for a long time now..he has gone to doctors, that he feels have not diagnosed him right. After we have sexual intercourse he says he feels his testicle flip or out of place and the discomfort increases. He also feels that now when he ejaculates it is less and less everytime. He also feels as if his erections are as hard as they can be. Two days ago he noticed a change in the color of one of his testicles. The colors are a dark red and somewhat black. What can possibly be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
After going through the descriptions about the problems of your boyfriend, it appears that he his having an infection of testis called 'epididymo-orchitis'.
To get diagnosed about this condition, he needs to get the following tests done:
1. Urine for culture and sensitivity done.
2. Ultrasound scan of the scrotum.
If it is indicative of infection, he needs to be treated with appropriate antibiotics for specified period.
Kindly consult Surgeon with the reports for evaluation and management.
In the meantime, let him abstain from sexual activities till his problems subside and drink plenty of fluids to keep himself well hydrated. Ask him to give scrotal support.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
