Hi,I have a feeling of discomfort in my left testicle. It seems to feel weakly attached to my body, almost as if it is slightly heavier than the other and pulling downwards a little more. It doesn't necessarily hurt, just feels a little uncomfortable. The feeling is continuous at times, but when I forget about the feeling I don't notice it anymore. What could this be? Thank you! I really appreciate the help!
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history. Noted your history of feeling of the left testicle at a lower level and heavier than the right. The probable causes can be: Varicocele, this has to be confirmed by clinical examination in standing and bending position. The other causes can be hydrocele, tumor, infection or so. Proper diagnosis will lead to the plan of proper treatment. Till then apply scrotal support. Remember one thing: the left testis is naturally at a lower than the right and has more tendency for development of varicocele due to its typical venous drainage.
