What Causes Dilated Ducts And Diverticulitis After The Removal Of Gall Bladder?
Hi I had my Gallbladder removed 1 yr ago. Now 1 yr later I have had my white blood cell count come back 3 times out of the norm. Blood in urine and dilated bile ducts which leads to Diverticulitis. This has happened 3 times in the last 5 months. Why are my Ducts dilated where I had my gallbladder surgery done. Can this be fixed so this infection can stop speading through my stomach. They have me on Leviquin and flagel antibotics. They also said my pattasium was low and my liver enzyemes were elevated. Can there be a tear somewhere since my most irritated spot is where my gallbladder was taking out. Any advice would be helpful? They did Cat scan and ulra sound of abdomen and found diveriticultis and dilated ducted where gall blatter was removed - What is causing this?
Diverticulitis is not related to gall bladder surgery but dilated ducts are not good if this is significant. You might have some stone or stricture. Consult some surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
