What Causes Difficulty To Breath And Smell While Having Adenoids?

I am 38. I have adenoids that make it impossible for me to breathe from my nose. I can t breathe. I was seen by an ent. She prescribed me steroids nasal spray. The next step is to get tested via a camera into my nose. I can t smell. Very rare. Should I remove these called adenoids? Also my 2 year old has them so severe.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic
Presenting history of difficulty in breathing with poor smell perception being diagnosed of adenoid I will strongly suggest you do a surgery called adenoidectomy to relief the above symptoms

In view of this please schedule an appointment with your ENT specialist for such surgical interventional procedures

Meanwhile continue with your nasal spray pending your appointment.

I hope this helps
Regards and get well soonest
