Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
On occasion my wife will not be able to swallow anything. It occurs after one or two mouthfuls when she starts to eat. Feels like instead of food sliding do, the elevator is bringing it back up. She is very thin, in otherwise good health. No acid reflux or stomach discomfort. Feels like food gets as far as lower trachea and will not go any farther. Even saliva can not get down.
Show her to a ent specialist. She might have some mass at the back of the throat. Get her hb tested. Iron deficiency can also lead to cricopharyngeal webs leading to odynophagia
