What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing With Ear Problem?

I have been on Zoloft for about 10 days and have been on it before for 2years. I am experiencing difficulty swallowing and a feeling of almost choking. I do not smoke or drink. I have been under a great deal of stress and recently developed a constant ringing in my ear. That is why I am on the Zoloft to help deal with the stress of my ear. Please advise.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Zoloft is not normally associated with difficulty swallowing or choking so there is likely another cause of your symptoms.

Since you are feeling as though you are choking then it may be best to see your doctor for assessment to rule out any problems in the throat that may be related.
You may need referral to a gastroenterologist for one of them to take a look.

I hope this helps
