What Causes Difficulty In Putting Stent In Left Artery Of Heart?

I had heart attack and the doctor said it was main artery in left side of heart and it was to small to put stent in and he ballooned and run wire in to unblock artery, so my question is why not be able to put stents in and what are my chances to have another heart attack and what are my oppisions?

If there is branch just proximal to the infarct,it will be difficult for stenting.thankyou
