What Causes Difficulty In Breathing With Back Pain?

My lower back hurts through out the whole day which I think it s making it hard to breathe. I get a stuffy nose feeling too, though I don t have a cold nor am I sick, plus my left shoulder feels heavy and clicks whenever I rotate it. Is there any way possible that any of these problems are causing me to have trouble getting a full breath?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM.
I don't think your lower back pain and shoulder clicks have anything to do with breathlessness.
As both these conditions favour bone related disease, mostly osteoarthritis or osteoporosis.
So better to consult orthopedic surgeon and get done x rays of left shoulder joint and lumber spine to rule out orthopedic problems.
For breathlessness, consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Chest x ray
2. ECG
3. PFT (pulmonary function test).
You may have both the problems simultaneously, lung related and bone related.
So consult doctor and discuss all these.
