What Causes Difficulty In Bowel Movements In Children?
My Daughter is going to turn 6 months on Feb 4 the 2014. She has cerlac ( 2 spoons) in d morning; I breast feed her then and at 1 or 2 she has 3 spoons of rice + 1 1/2 spoon yellow moving cooked or blend well. Even at 6 she is given formula milk. This is the new routine I have started since 3 days. Its been 2 days and she has not pottied ... Can you suggest

Lack of fiber in the diet in one of the causes for constipation. Some times infants in that age may pass stool once in two days. If it happens occasionally it may not be any problem. If it happens regularly and child does not pass stool for days together then other causes should be thought of. You should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause.
