What Causes Diabetes And Liver Problems Inspite Of Healthy Habits?

im 30 year old female who has diebvetese and liver function problems. i had a rutine of very good health habits and exercises before becoming ill. why? and now im suffering with infections and wounds which mstop me doing exercise. my parents have the history of diabetese and liver function problems. we never consume alchohol. dad has a non-stop skin itching problem. need soon responses

Diabetes can be inherited and if both of your parents were diabetic there was an increased chance of you also becoming a diabetic.

DIabetes can increase the risk of infections and also slow down healing especially if the blood sugars are not controlled.

Liver disease can be due to different causes, in diabetics, non alcoholic fatty liver is a common cause. This is the build up of fat in the liver due to diet and inadequate activity. This fat build up can progress to inflammation and damage to the liver.

Treatment involves (1)lifestyle changes to control the blood sugars and other risk factors such as blood pressure and cholesterol
(2)proper use of diabetic and other medications
