What Causes Dent In Calf With Lump And Pain In Hip?
Hi Dr, A couple of days ago I felt a strange indentation midway down my left calf in the front bone. There also feel like there is a lump in the indentation. My leg is experiencing slight pain, but my hip has been more painful of late for no reason. I have also been feeling real tired lately and have thought that it could be related to having a two weekly period. I have been to my family doc for the oeriod, but their surgery is waiting for an appointment from a gynea dr. In the mean time I had a pelvic sonar and they found fibroids and an ovarian cyst. I hope these are not related, but Im real concerned since I found this indentation a few days ago.

As per your history it looks swelling of soft tissue.
According to your history there is possibility of benign swelling around leg.
As swelling is not reducing I will advise you to further investigate for the cause of swelling.
I will advise you to do MRI and Ultrasound of the swelling.
If its collection or benign mass it can be excised.
Till time you can take anti-inflammatory and antibiotic if infection is suspected.
