What Causes Delayed Periods?
I am 17 days late with my period,have been trying for a baby for 8 months,have many pregnancy symptoms but all tests say negative I have fibroids,take blood pressure medication. Could it be that my hcg levels are still to low to detect pregnancy or could there be another reason I'm so late with my cycle?

Looking at your description it might be related to pregnancy or hormonal disturbances.
Urine pregnancy card test is not so specific to confirm pregnancy, it might be false negative.
In my opinion you should consult a gynaecologist for a transvaginal ultrasound to confirm whether pregnancy is there or not.
Since you are taking medicines for hypertension, here I would like to know what all medicines you are taking?
if you looking for a baby than you should consult your doctor immediately because certain anti hypertensive medicine are contraindicated in pregnancy and has to be switched over to safer alternatives.
you should take folic acid supplements.
