What Causes Delayed Periods With Brown Vaginal Discharge?

I am married and my age is 27 years. I have missed my periods for 9 days. First day of last period was 19 feb 2017. I was having a cycle of 27 days from last two months, earlier I used to have irregular cycles just two or three days before and after, but this time i am worried why they are such late. Only a slight brown discharge since 4-5 days happen. We, the couple, did not have unprotected intercourse. Did a home pregnancy test on 28 mar 2017 morning and it comes out to be negative. What could be the possible reason for delayed/missed periods?

Hi, I think periods can get delayed due to stress factor also. If pregnancy test is negative, you can take some medicines like progesterone for inducing periods. Get yourself examined by a gynecologist to rule out infections.
