What Causes Delayed Periods In A Woman With Thick Endometrium?

Hi I am five months married. Me and my husband are trying for pregnancy. I am taking much stress for 3,4 months for pregnancy because i really want this. My periods are not much regular but every month i got my periods 4 to 5 days later than past menstrual date. Last month it was 4th of january. Today is 9th feb. We tried in ovulation day too. After ovulation i m having thick milky n creamy white discharge which i never noticed before. I also have bloating.. slow digestion.. gas etc. I also feel dizziness. I took pregnancy test two days ago. It came out negative. I got much dsappointed. Then yesterday i went to gyne. She had my lower abdomen ultrasound. She said my endometrium is thick. I should go for a pregnancy test. I took it again. It again came out negative. I am again stressed out.. what should i do? Am i not pregnant or not following instructions for home pregnancy test.? Because i am not getting my periods yet. Help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
You seem to have a longer menstrual cycle.. ( about 35 days ) never mind, it is possible to have alonger but regular menstrual cycle. Eventually, the ovulation day also shifts later ( 14 days prior to the expected date of menses ) & so you will get your pregnancy at a later date & will get your pregnancy test +ve late.
You should get your pregnancy test done ( HPT ) after 8 days delay in expected date of periods. .. to get reliable results.
Thanks.
