What Causes Delayed Periods After Having Tubes Tied?
My tubes were tied before I left the hospital when I had my son. November 2008! My son will be 6 this November 2014! Don t recall every missing a cycle since they have been tied!!! I usually have pm a week before which asures me it s on it s way!!!!! Out of all the years and months since his been here. This month November I m 10 days late!!!!!! Not a cramp or pain or anything!!!!!! I haven t taking a test just hoping it s changing up!!!! But maybe 2 or 3 days late but 10 is VERY Strange

HI, I understand your concern. You had regular periods since tubectomy for all these years that suggests the operation to be a success. This type of sporadic delay in periods can be due to temporary causes bringing about hormonal imbalance. They are .. post illness/ weakness & anemia/ physical or psychological stress. If the Problem continues for a longer time .. the probable causes are ovarian/ thyroid problems. They can be treated well after diagnosis & gynecologist's advise. Very very rare cause can be recanalization & pregnancy ( extreamly rare after so many years of operation ) Thanks.
