What Causes Delayed Periods After A Cervical Biopsy?
My menstral is late, I had a cervocal biopsy a little over a week. I didn t have any bleeding or anything symptoms to make me feel uncomfortable and I am not pregnant. Should I worry or call my doctor. My mentrsl is always on time and I am 35 years old. Thanks

Hi,
After a cervical biopsy, delayed menstruation may just be due to a post biopsy stress and may not pose any problem since stress is well known to influence the menstrual cycle. However, I will suggest you eliminate pregnancy with a pregnancy test. If menses still do not come in say a week, you see your Gynecologist for evaluation and if need be, infectious causes may be investigated like PID/STI.
