What Causes Delayed Period While On I-pill?
Hello Doc, I am 1 wk late for my periods. Last I had it on nov 15. Had relationship with my fiance on 20 just after my periods. I had taken ipill on 21 with 12 hrs. On 27 nov I had bleeding which was as normal as my dues and lasted for 4 days. I had normal 28 days cycle but itsmore than week I dididn t get my dues. Expected was 20th dec as per my initail dates and 26 as per the new cycle as per the effect of the pill but have not got my dues... pl suggest

I really appreciate your concern, look there is no hundred per cent promising method available for contraception even if you have taken hormone pill to do that so this may fails to work and may cause irregular menses for sure, if you missed the period for couple of weeks then you nee to get done the ultrasonography test to rule out the gravid uterus, hope this information helps, take care.
