What Causes Delayed Menstruation After Taking Primolut-N?

My wife kept taking primolut-n for 8 days for the postponement of periods, but after 15 days not started period, . She did taken 10 tablets without knowing that she was pregnant and now when her pregnancy test came positive we are very worried if the pill is going to have an adverse effect on the baby or it can cause any deformities to the fetus please answer it for us. Thanks in advance

Hello dear,I understand your concern. It may affect your developing baby if you take it during pregnancy,but your baby can develop normally also, we can not be sure for 100%. You should do 1-2 ultrasound diagnostics to exclude it.
There is a theoritical risks of birth defects mentioned in literature but I have seen many women who were pregnant and had taken primolut-n incidentally, they carry- on with the pregnancy. There was no birth defects in the baby.Start to monitor condition of baby every month.
