My husband & I have been together for 10 years. Our sexual relationship is wonderful but I can never reach orgasm unless I masterbate.(well he actually does it for me) & I can only achieve actually having an orgasm if I position myself a certain way! Does that indicate something is wrong with my clitoris?
Contrary to popular belief, the majority of women (80%) cannot have an orgasm without some degree of clitoral stimulation. Many couples incorporate self-stimulation or simultaneous touching and penetration into their lovemaking routine. Needing to be stimulated from a specific direction or in a particular position is not unusual. The sexual positions that feel pleasurable to you are related to your anatomy.
The bottom line is that you say you have a wonderful sexual relationship with your husband. Whatever way you as a couple have found to do so, that statement in itself shows hat you as a couple have figured out a way to satisfy each other. Every woman is built differently and there is no right or wrong way to achieve sexual satisfaction.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
