What Causes Delay In Periods?

Hi, I am 22 years of age. I have been having protected sex with my boyfriend since last two months. My period was delayed last month by around 10 days. This month I am due but not having period inspite of cramps and pain. I took pregnancy test but it was negative. Could I be pregnant?

Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
The delay in period can be due to various reasons one if which is pregnancy.
If pregnancy test is negative then you are not pregnant.
You can repeat the test after as week . If no period and pregnancy test still negative then you can consult a doctor to take medication to induce a period.
If repeated such episodes I'd delayed periods occur then you should consider the detailed hormone analysis.
