General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I have read your query & understood your concern. * Highest chances of conception are around 14 days prior to expected day of next period, So if you had sex at the specific time & if your wife has regular menstrual cycle-she has chance of conception this time. If so, it can be confirmed by blood/urine pregnancy test. * In case the sex was not around risk zone,& pregnancy test is -ve,other causes of such delay in period are- -Recent illness/weakness/exersion. - pre menopause, - hormonal imbalance, - certain thyroid problems, - lac of ovulation.( PCOD) In such a case, I would advice a gynaecologist's advice for physical examination/investigations/specific treatment. Thanks.
