What Causes Delay In Periods?
hi. lmp was 9 july. took postinor 2 twice during my ovulation week 21 july and 25 july. had unprotected sex on the 27 july. took home preg test on 6 august negative. my heart beat is very rapid probably due to stress about this. is there a possibility i could be pregnant? still no period today

Postinor 2 is a post coital emergency contraceptive pill which contains Progestational medicine. Therefore few days after consuming these pills, some amount of little bleeding is expected. Moreover, the following period can get delayed by few days to a week or so. If you have taken the pill within 72 hours of the unprotected sex, it should give you good protection against pregnancy.
Since your LMP was 9th July, the next expected menses would be around 7-9 August. Please wait. You should get menses. If you do not get menses till 15 August, you may go for pregnancy test on the overnight early morning first urine sample. Earlier, there is a possibility of false negative report.
Please calm down. You would get menses in due course. If you do not, rely on the pregnancy test. Stress can further delay the menses. If your increased pulse rate is causing some symptoms like breathlessness or palpitations, please report to a physician.
I hope this pacifies you and brings your pulse rate to normal range.
