What Causes Delay In Periods And Negative Pregnancy Test?

I am 49 years old. Periods had been fairly regular, changing somewhat. Last period stared on Sept 26. Light period. Had unprotected sex on the 30. No period in October. No symptoms to speak of, and a negative pregnancy test yesterday.. Ugh! Possibility of pregnancy, and how soon to take another HPT?

Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com!

I really appreciate your concern. Delay in periods may be due to hormonal imbalance going on in your body in peri-menopausal age. There is null chances of pregnancy in your case. You can have next pregnancy test after 1 week of the last one to rule out pregnancy.
Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.

Thank you.

Best Regards.
Dr. Manan
