Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been woken up twice in the past two months with debilitating stomach pain. The pain is so severe I cannot stand erect, or inhale fully during an episode. It feels as if my stomach is being pumped up with fire and is starting to rip open. These episodes last about 20 minutes, and during that time I am in excrushiating pain. What could this be?
As you mentioned you have problem of severe abdominal pain that may be because of gastric ulcer or gastritis or other reasons.. After detail history and investigation give exact idea about problems.. Mention a intensity and duration of pain with aggravating factor that help in diagnosis... Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis. Endoscopy examination can done if needed....
