Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have and continue to get cysts growing on parts of my body. I had one on the back of my neck which has been drained. I have 2 on my stomach area which I can feel. They don t give me any discomfort or pain but I can feel them. I also have one which is quite prominent on my arm which falls under the same category. But I currently have one under my arm pit which is infected and causing me quite a bit of pain. I was prescribed clarithromycin at the start of the year for one which burst a couple of days into the treatment. I ve been to the doctor on many occasions and they don t seem to have an answer to what is causing them or how to stop them coming back?
Hi i do care for your concern. frequent abscess formation may be due to # increased blood sugar levels # reduced immunity # not being hygiene enough I would advise to Consult your physician and get blood work up done for FBS PPBS total and differential count and others. you have not mentioned your age, and if found diabetic then medications is a must to prevent recurrent infections. using antiseptic soap and maintaining adequate hygiene will add to the help. Hope i have answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask. Thank you.
