What Causes Cyst On The Left Collar Bone?

I have had a lump just below my left collar bone for about 10-15 years. It was xrayed about 14-15 years ago and I was told it was nothing. Last week, I noticed the area around it had swollen up and looked raised (somewhat like a sprained ankle might swell up). The swollen area is about the size of 3 quarters and lump itself feels like it s about 2 in. x 1 in. I showed it to my doctor who sent me for an ultrasound. I didn t hear back from her, but today I received an order for an MRI with contrast. What could this be? She said during the exam it was probably just a cyst, but the swelling is new and I ve been having a low red blood cell count.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have some cyst or enlarged lymphnode due to reactive hyperplasia, tuberulosis, lymphoma or metastasis carcinoma. You should go for mri and biopsy of that lump if needed. It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
