Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with crusty eyes that is reddish and swollen after waken up I am suggesting you have developed a condition called conjunctivitis (inflammation of the sclera of the eye)

In view of this please schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist specialist for expert clinical assessment and adequate drug treatment

I hope this helps
Regards and get well soonest
