What Causes Cramps, Twitching And Body Tremors?

My name is Chris. What may cause cramping, twitching and tremors? My husband works as a plumber in Arizona and an avid backbacker. He feels his potassium levels are low which he is waiting for the results from his bloodwork. He would like to know what the symptoms are for low potassium. They are also checking thyroid. Past tests have been normal for both. Many thanks

Hello,

Yes, low potassium levels can cause cramping and muscle tremors. The same can happen with low calcium levels.
Another symptom of low potassium is abdominal pain and constipation.

All the best.
