Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had cramps everywhere in my stomach saturday. Then again yesterday but not as bad and only in my upper abdomen region and the middle, and today i have had a few. Could this be because I do not eat enough because I do not eat breakfast or lunch? or something else?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Praveen's Response
Hi dear. Thanks for writing on HCM. Your stomach cramps could be due to gastritis.Lack of food will result in the damage of the stomach wall(mucosa) by the acid and over a prolonged period results in cramping, painful belching.I were to suggest to be regular for food habits.Avoid spicy, oily food.I were to suggest Tab.Rabeprazole 20mg once daily half an hour before food for four weeks. This should relieve acidity. If it persists would suggests upper GI endoscopy to rule out local pathology.Hope this answers your query.
