Is there swelling on ankle_? Any redness around ?
Based upon the mechanism of injury which you have described it appear than you gave got ankle sprain. In any soft tissue of injury of the joint it get heal slowly. You have to be patient with it.
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain. You should use ankle brace along with regular icing. Take rest and avoid any vigorous activity. It will heal in two weeks...
